The high-profile Cairo workshop on the 'Regional Aspects of Peacebuilding' successfully concluded with this outcome report being circulated at the UN Security Council in December 2014. The report was also circulated as a document of the General Assembly, under item 29 of the Agenda  ‘Report of the Peacebuilding Commission’. It will contribute as substantive input for the African perspective on regional aspects of peacebuilding in the upcoming review of the United Nations’ peacebuilding architecture (The 2015 Review).
