The Cairo International Center for Conflict Resolution, Peacekeeping and Peacebuilding (CCCPA) and Senghor University signed an agreement on Thursday September 21, 2023 aimed at strengthening their cooperation in the service of African peace and development.
The agreement was signed by H.E. Ambassador Ahmed Abdel-Latif, Director General of the CCCPA and Professor Thierry Verdel, Rector of Senghor University during a ceremony held at the CCCPA headquarters in Cairo.
This agreement aims to enhance the training of professionals from African countries who are capable of meeting the challenges of the African continent, notably through the organization of joint trainings, the publication of research and holding conferences and seminars around different themes linked to conflict resolution, peace and security, while strengthening the links between peace, security and sustainable development.
The agreement comes also in line with CCCPA's commitment to develop its activities in French in order to better meet the needs and expectations of Francophone Africa, particularly countries and regions affected by conflict and fragility, as well as its commitment to strengthening its cooperation and developing partnerships with Francophone institutions.
