Program Associate on Preventing Radicalization and Extremism Leading to Terrorism (PRELT)

Under the supervision of the Program Manager (PRELT), the Program Associate on Preventing Radicalization and Extremism Leading to Terrorism (PRELT) will support the conduct of evidence-based, policy-oriented, activities and research on PRELT related to the project.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide overall strategic/substantive support to the Program Officer/Manager in their relevant thematic area;
- Report on major developments related to the thematic area, and propose and support activities and initiatives in this respect;
- Prepare written materials pertaining to the thematic area;
- Conduct research to contribute to program implementation and development, which may include attending conferences and workshops;
- Support the delivery of programmatic activities in the relevant thematic area as outlined in the Annual Work Plan (AWP);
- Implement a range of activities including development of training curricula, materials (presentations, infographs, multimedia, etc), case studies and simulations;
- Coordinate and communicate with national authorities and implementing partners, including through meetings and correspondence;
- Assist the M&E department in conducting training evaluations and in post-training engagements with CCCPA alumni, as well as production of project quarterly and final reports;
- Provide input to the development of training material and contribute towards ensuring the relevance to the target audience;
- Attend external meetings with program partners/donors and assist on any program issues;
- Other tasks as required.
Education
Master’s degree in political science, international relations, economics, law or equivalent is mandatory. In lieu of the degree, significant work experience may be acceptable.
Work Experience
3-5 years work experience is required for this job. Previous experience in a research or training institution would be a strong asset. Published papers/research would be a valuable asset.
Languages
Mastery of Arabic AND English is required. A third language would be a valuable asset.

- Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to details;
- Willingness to travel.
Assessment Method
Evaluation of qualified candidates for this position will include a substantive assessment, which will be followed by a competency-based interview with CCCPA management.
